to be fully enforced with high expectations of 1st tam success, Players to be prepared to play where chosen. Older players to help in the development of younger players coming into the squad and in setting examples on and off the field of play. Still promote the fun / enjoyment element of belonging
to Howden Clough. Older players to be encouraged to assist coaching and developing
younger age groups with a view to becoming coaches at a later stage.

Sat 4th Dec 04. Clough boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation from the West Yorkshire League Premier Division after holding leaders Nostell MW to a 1-1 draw.
They moved up to third bottom one point clear of Saturdays opponents Weatherby Athletic.
It could have been even better for Clough as they missed a penalty against unbeaten Nostell.
Cloughs three centre backs Nat Prentice, Kevin Blanchard and Simon Wilkins all had splendid games, restricting Nostell to set pieces, which goal-keeper Chris Simpson dealt with.
Clough have brought in ex-Liversedge player Mark Woffendin to give some experience and along with Danny Cooper he helped to dominate midfield. Clough broke the deadlock in the 81st min with a well worked goal which saw Matt Fahy cross and Smith timed his run perfectly to steal i at the back post to score. Nostells play became more desperate and they threw everything at Clough and were rewarded with a late equaliser from a set piece.

Wheatley Cup. Clough holders reached the semi-finals after a hard fought 2-0 win over Woodsome Warriors. An own goal saw Clough ahead at half time and Steve McGlone sealed the win with Cloughs second 11mins into the second half.

Clough ensured their Premier status with a win over the second bottom side Baildon Trinity.
By half time Clough had built up a 3-0 lead and despite easing off and using three substitutes they still scored a forth goal.
Steve McGlone gave Clough the lead in the first minute after pouncing on a defensive mix-up in the penalty area. A corner allowd Nat Prentice to tap home at the far post. Simon Moore added a stunning third, lashing home an unstoppable shot from outside the area, Clough continued to dominate after the break as Baildon twice headed shots off the line.
Clough completed the scoring when Matty Fahy converted a Danny Clapham cross.
