Clough U9A 7-0 Rastrick A
The U9s hit top form to beat Rastrick 7-0. Clough played some of their best
football of the season with the defence of Declan Sheehan and Rob Chappell
solid and goalkeeper Jamie Cawtheray having little to do. They took the lead
from a fine free-kick by George Woocock. Bradley Wild netted after good work
from Dominic Hale and Joe Woodhouse finished from close range.
Clough scored another four after the break . Wild, Woodhouse and Woodcock
got their second goals before Ashley Woods completed the scoring with a fine
solo effort. MoM for a fine performance was Conner Teale.

Stand-in goalkeeper Sam Grayson had little to do but was good when called
upon. Defenders James Leadbetter and Ben Twohig were solid through-out. The

Hinchliffe was outstanding and Clough deservedly lead 3-0 at half time
thanks to to goals from Lewis Boddy and an own goal.

another own goal and a very impressive five coming from top scorer George
Spencer to earn MoM .Rastrick never stopped trying and were awarded with a
consolation goal.

The Tigers lost to Hepworth C in an even contest. Strong tackling from
captain Sam Reffould, Joseph Townend and Matthew Banks made it difficult for
the opposition. Strong defence by Joseph Aprcovic , Andy Greaves and Ethan
Gomersal kept it goal-less at half time.
After further pressure the Tigers defence broke and Hepworth scored two
quick goals, leaving the Tigers with an uphill task.
Tigers forwards Nathan Billingham, Liam Mulholland and Peter Foster created
chances, but were unable to trouble the goalkeeper. Ben Yardley made
numerous good saves. MoM was Greaves.
