U7 and U8s Within Mini Soccer Rules
Concentrate on individual soccer skills :- ball control, with feet , head and body. Introduce the laws of the game : foul play , throw ins , free kicks , handling etc. Moving players around in different playing positions to develop all round playing ability and understanding of team rules, playing for enjoyment, WINNING IS NOT THE ISSUE. Introduce light stretching routines to develop good warm-up and cool down practices. Small sided games, 5 a side ,to give each player maximum contact with ball during play. Limit number of games against opposition clubs. To train with U8s.

Clough U7 Black 4-0 Tingley Ath (11th Nov06)
Clough beat Tingley Ath 4-0. Tom Pygott opened the scoring, while goal-keeper Daniel Pinder kept Tingley at bay.
Good midfield play from Maison Cleghorn saw Josh Teale make it two, with defenders Jack Palmer and Conner Teale denying chances. MoM Callum Pearson scored an early goal second half goal with Joel Wright solid in defence. Goal-keeper Jonny Hill was soundunder pressure, allowing George Stones to make it four.

The u7 Orange went 3-2 down to Tingley  First half goalkeeper Matthew Butler made some fine saves and George Webb put Clough in front. Good work from defenders Alex Robinson and Gabriel Speight kept them level at half-time.
Goalkeeper Reece Field worked hard in the second half, but Tingley took a 3-1 lead. Matthew Hallas went close after linking with MoM Billy Williamson. A late goal from Luke Humpreys finished an exciting match.

The u7 Back won 7-0 at Batley.
Maison Cleghorn had little to do in goal behind a solid defence of Conner Teale and Jack Palmer. Smart play from Tom Pygott saw Jonny Hill go close with MoM Josh Teale scoring twice. A fine run from Daniel Pinder made it 3-0 before half time. Hard work from midfielder Callum Pearson made it four with MoM Joel Wright adding a fifth.
Batlwy scored an unlucky own goal before George Stones added a seventh.

The u7 Orange won 4-0 at Batley. Good defence from Alex Robinson and Reece saw off any Batley chances. William Crann fought hard in midfield enabling Jake Michaels to score a hat-trick.
Billy Williamson had some fine runs with Edward Collins working hard. Goal-keeper Luke Humpreys
made some tremendous saves. Good passing from Maathew Hallas allowed
George Webb to add the final goal
