Player and Coach Development Policy
Under 11's and 12's-Within League Rules
Continue individual soccer skills and team work coaching, concentrate on technical ability and tactics, monitor improvement of and promote individuals responsibility for improvement. Increase the stretching routines to include light stamina training, continue warm up and cool down sessions before and after games as well as training sessions. Begin to place players in positions of play (for continuity) but still move them around within the team occasionally. Organise into 1st and 2nd teams (within league rules), 1st team coach to have first pick of the age group, players not required for 1st team duty in that week to be included in the 2nd team squad. Continue the theme that winning is fun without pressure to succeed, success is expected more in 1st team than in the 2nd.
Where possible play friendly games where the 1st and 2nd teams can be mixed to make up teams, this promotes teamwork throughout the age group, training games would be a good starting point for this. All players in these age groups to train together.

Match Reports

(Please email reports soccer@hcjfc.fsnet.co.uk)
Clough U11A battled well against second placed Hartshead but never recovered from an early goal eventually lost 4-0.
There were some good individual games but hard working MoM Jordan Pearson went closest to scoring with a free-kick which saved the post.

Clough 5-4 Longcroft Lions
Clough beat Longcroft Lions 5-4 in a sparkling game.
Clough had the perfect start and raced to a 3-0 lead with two tremendous goals from MoM Jordan Pearson and one from Jack Anderson. Clough looked to have the game in the bag but Longcroft clawed their way back into the game and took the lead 4-3.
Clough seemed to be crumbling but stemmed the Longcroft onslaught. With 10 mins to go Jack Strangeway grabbed a deserved equaliser and minutes later got his second, hitting home a penalty to save Cloughs blushes and snatch victory
