U11 Soccer Development Plan

 Player and Coach Development Policy
Under 11's and 12's-Within League Rules
Continue individual soccer skills and team work coaching, concentrate on technical ability and tactics, monitor improvement of and promote individuals responsibility for improvement. Increase the stretching routines to include light stamina training, continue warm up and cool down sessions before and after games as well as training sessions. Begin to place players in positions of play (for continuity) but still move them around within the team occasionally. Organise into 1st and 2nd teams (within league rules), 1st team coach to have first pick of the age group, players not required for 1st team duty in that week to be included in the 2nd team squad. Continue the theme that winning is fun without pressure to succeed, success is expected more in 1st team than in the 2nd.
Where possible play friendly games where the 1st and 2nd teams can be mixed to make up teams, this promotes teamwork throughout the age group, training games would be a good starting point for this. All players in these age groups to train together.

Match Reports 2009/10

(The parent writing the reports to the Newspapers please cc the email reports to soccer@hcjfc.co.uk)

Clough U11A lost their first match 4-2 to Westwood Jets, despite playing good football.
Goalkeeper Dan Gaines had to be on top of his game, whilst defenders Josh Walton, Taylor Golthorpe, Saad Aziz, Jacob Naylor and Ryan Bottomley had a hard task to keep Westwood's strikers at bay, as Clough trailed 2-0 at half time.
Clough got back into the game when MoM Joe Tordoff scored his first goal of the season.
Adam Townsend made some crunching tackles and Tommy Claughtons lob set up George Brooke who went close.
The Jets went further ahead only for Walton to produce a clinical finish. Josh Foster and Joe Crabtree made useful runs and Nail Walker had a goal ruled offside.

The u11A were unlucky to loose 4-2 against Linthwaite.
Early pressure from Nail Walker saw him go close.
Joe Tordoff made slick move from midfield and shot just wide before Josh Foster found Adam Townsend whose run was ended by a defender.
Clough maintained the pressure and George Brooke kept his cool to open the scoring.
In the second half, substitute Elliot Warren scored to put Clough two up. Jack Fryers solo run almost made it three.
At the back Ryan Bottomley, Saad Aziz and Josh Walton were on form to keep the strikers at bay and Taylor Goldthorpe got MoM for outstanding play.
Dan Gaines made a top save from a penalty but Linthwaite finished strongly to take the lead. Jacob Naylors fine passing in midfield ensure Clough battled until the end.
