U11 Development Policy

Player and Coach Development Policy
Under 11's and 12's-Within League Rules
Continue individual soccer skills and team work coaching, concentrate on technical ability and tactics, monitor improvement of and promote individuals responsibility for improvement. Increase the stretching routines to include light stamina training, continue warm up and cool down sessions before and after games as well as training sessions. Begin to place players in positions of play (for continuity) but still move them around within the team occasionally. Organise into 1st and 2nd teams (within league rules), 1st team coach to have first pick of the age group, players not required for 1st team duty in that week to be included in the 2nd team squad. Continue the theme that winning is fun without pressure to succeed, success is expected more in 1st team than in the 2nd.
Where possible play friendly games where the 1st and 2nd teams can be mixed to make up teams, this promotes teamwork throughout the age group, training games would be a good starting point for this. All players in these age groups to train together.

3D Dynamos 3-3 Howden Clough (16 Sept)
Clough gained an encouraging 3-3 draw at 3Dynamoes.
Luke Skinner was impressive in goal with the help from defenders Harry Crann, Ronan Mariner,
Ben Finlay and Jack Stones.
The midfield of George Langdale, MoM Joe Cooper, Liam Pollard (one goal) and Keelan Charlton worked hard while up front Brandon Whitton scored twice with the help of Joe Banks and Ryan Lee.

Clough U11B gave another excellent display to beat Westend B 2-0 and earn 3 valuable points.
Joe Westbury had little to do in goal and was aided by the sound defence of Ronan Mariner, who scored a penalty. George O'Hara, Ben Finlay, Keelan Charlton and George Langdale were strong in midfield helped by MoM Jordan and Ryan Lee, Joe Banks, Joe Cooper and Luke Denville also played well. Up front Liam Pollard scored a goal and Daniel Clark played well.

Clough u11B produced another excellent performance to beat 3D Dynamos 4-0.
Joe Westbury had an excellent game in goal, aided by the defence of Ronan Mariner, George O'Hara, Harry Crann and Ben Finlay.
Daniel Clark and George Langdale, who scored one of Cloughs goals, were strong in midfield with help from Keelan Charlton, Joe Banks (one goal), Ryan Lee, Joe Cooper and Luke Denville. Forward Troy Bagshaw added two goals, Josh Maltas also shone, while Conner O'Neil had an excellent game on his debut to earn MOM.
