Player and Coach Development Policy
Under 15's / Under 16's Player & Coach Development Policy
Continue the skills and technical coaching, increase pressure to continue self development by the individual. (Fitness training outside the club sessions). Insist on the  right playing attitude - response to adverse decisions, provocation from the opposition, positive not negative criticism of team members, improve players knowledge of the laws of the game.
Continue target setting (targets should have higher expectations), also continue the discipline in attendance and attitude to the club rules and policies. Introduce the expectation that the players will progress to play in the clubs open age teams.
All players in these age groups to train together, with the under 16's attending u17/Open Age training sessions towards the end of the season.

Howden Clough Under 15 Girls – Known as Cloughthorpe Tigers
Cloughthorpe Tigers V Farsley Celtic         1.10.06
Due to a mutual shortage of numbers the Under 15 Girls have perhaps set a precedent and joined forces with local rivals Norristhorpe to form what could be a formidable outfit.
Certainly Cloughthorpe Tigers first competitive fixture suggested the future would be bright if no longer entirely orange with a resounding 13-1 home victory over a game Farsley Celtic.
They went ahead as early as the 2nd minute when a well-struck shot by Jen Walsh found the bottom corner. Two more quick goals by Jenny Halligan both from corners set the tone for the game.
The Tiger’s rampaged forward and further strikes from Danny Anthony, the impressive Danica Roberts, Jade Naylor and Liuli Dyson gave the home side a fully deserved 7-0 lead at the break.
The second half followed a similar pattern with Halligan adding another three, Jessica Davidson converting a penalty and another goal apiece for Anthony and the talented Dyson with only a late breakaway providing some consolation for the visitors.
A very impressive start and with further improvement assured, this side will surely have a very successful first season.

Nostell MW 1-10 Tigers 11th Nov 06
Tigers went ahead after only six minutes when Rebecca Roberts intercepted a pass and powered through to rifle into the corner. Nicky Holt beat the offside trap for the second..
Tigers played their best football of the season, Jen Walsh and Roberts combined well on the right. Danny Arnold, Emily Holroyd and Jemma Bennett also shone. Kathleen Montgomery, Ruby Holland and Jenny Halligan were solid in defence.
Goals from Arnold, Walsh and Holroyd made it 5-0 at the break. Holt scored her second before Nostell pulled one back.
The Tigers responded well and scored with a neat finish from Arnold before a fierce strike from Jessica Davidson and second for Holroyd stretched the lead. Roberts added a memorable goal,  flicking the ball over two defenders before volleying home.

Farsley Celtic 0-13 Tigers 19th Nov 06

Tigers progressed to the next round of the Cup with a 13-0 victory against Farsley Celtic., who only had 10 players. The plucky home side held out for over 15 mins and even threatened briefly, but the floodgates opened once the first goal went in with an own goal.
Strikes from Daneca Roberts (four), Jessica Davidson (three), Liuli Dyson (three), Emily Holroyd and Nicky Hault completed the scoring.

--------------------------------------------------------
York City 3-4 Tigers 26 Nov 06
The Tigers played York City for the second week running and recorded a 4-3 victory in a thrilling game. The Tigers started brightly and took the lead when Jen Walsh was brought down and Jessica Davidson's cross was volleyed home by Daneca Roberts. York equalised against the run of play and scored again early in the second half, but the Tigers levelled when a Roberts pass allowed Liuli Dyson to race away before rounding the goalkeeper to slot home.
The Tigers regained the lead when Danny Anthony prodded home following a neat one-two with Dyson. Anthony then latched on to a long ball and finished well.
York set up a thrilling finish when a wind assisted cross flew into the roof of the net, but the Tigers held out with Becky Summerscales making some determined challenges aided by committed defending from Jenny Halligan, Ruby Holland, Rebecca Sheehan and Phil Stancliffe.

Nostell Vs Cloughthorpe Tigers U15’s
Cloughthorpe Tigers u15 girls recorded a convincing 10-1 away victory by simply overpowering a plucky Nostell.
They got off to a perfect start and went ahead after only 6 seconds when Daneca Roberts intercepted a pass kick-off and powered through to rifle home in the corner.
They had to wait a little longer before adding a second-Nicky Holt beating the offside trap and passing the ball beyond the advancing goalkeeper.
The tigers were playing their best football of the season. Jen Walsh and Roberts were combining well on the right whilst Danny Arnold, Emily Holroyd and Jemma Bennett were all making their presence felt.
Kathleen Montgomery was alongside Ruby Holland and Jenny Halligan having a solid game in defence.
Arnold added a third, Walsh a fine fourth and Holroyd a fifth before the break.
Holt scored her second after the interval before Nostell, who to their credit never gave up, pulled one back.
The Tigers responded well and a neat finish from Arnold restored the deficit before a  fierce strike from Jessica Davidson and a second for Holroyd stretching the lead still further.
There was still time for Roberts to score a truly memorable goal. She flicked the ball in turn over not one but two advancing defenders before unleashing an unstoppable left foot volley just inside the far post
