 Player and Coach Development Policy
Continue individual soccer skills and team work coaching, concentrate on technical ability and tactics, monitor improvement of and promote individuals responsibility for improvement. Increase the stretching routines to include light stamina training, continue warm up and cool down sessions before and after games as well as training sessions. Begin to place players in positions of play (for continuity) but still move them around within the team occasionally. Organize into 1st and 2nd teams (within league rules), 1st team coach to have first pick of the age group, players not required for 1st team duty in that week to be included in the 2nd team squad. Continue the theme that winning is fun without pressure to succeed, success is expected more in 1st team than in the 2nd.
Where possible play friendly games where the 1st and 2nd teams can be mixed to make up teams, this promotes teamwork throughout the age group, training games would be a good starting point for this. All players in these age groups to train together.

Action with Clough attacking Pudsey goal 4th Apr 04

Battyeford u12 Girls1-2 Howden Clough u12 Girls (19/10)
Clough u12s battled well in a hard fought game at Battyeford to earn a 2-1 win.
Emily Holroyd scored for Clough with Player of the match going to goalkeeper Jessica Davidson.

Brighouse 1-0 Clough U12 (14/12)
The u12 Girls were desperately unlucky to drop their first points of the season at Brighouse.
Clough were a player short but still dominated, forcing 10 first half corners.
Jen Walsh headed over, Ruby Holland blasted wide and the Brighouse defence scrambled the ball off the line several times.
It seemed only a matter of time before Clough broke the deadlock, but in only their second attack Brighouse broke to score and managed to hold on for victory.

Clough U12s 5-0 Northowram (18/1/04)
The U12 Girls returned to action with a 5-0 win against Northowram.
Good defending from Holland and Bingley prevented Northowram from scoring and two close range efforts from Emily Holroyd put Clough two up at half time.
Ruby Holland s long run ended with her firing into the roof of the net and two goals from Jenny Halligan completed the victory.
Player of the match was Charlotte Bingley.
