Player and Coach Development Policy
Under 11's and 12's-Within League Ru
les
Continue individual soccer skills and team work coaching, concentrate on technical ability and tactics, monitor improvement of and promote individuals responsibility for improvement. Increase the stretching routines to include light stamina training, continue warm up and cool down sessions before and after games as well as training sessions. Begin to place players in positions of play (for continuity) but still move them around within the team occasionally. Organise into 1st and 2nd teams (within league rules), 1st team coach to have first pick of the age group, players not required for 1st team duty in that week to be included in the 2nd team squad. Continue the theme that winning is fun without pressure to succeed, success is expected more in 1st team than in the 2nd.
Where possible play friendly games where the 1st and 2nd teams can be mixed to make up teams, this promotes teamwork throughout the age group, training games would be a good starting point for this. All players in these age groups to train together.

U11 Black Squad Sun 12 Oct  03

Clough defending a Castleford attack Sun 14 Dec 03

Action from Cloughs game v Castleford on Sun 14 dec 03.

Expert coaching from two Leeds coaching in the community staff Wed 22 Apr 04.

Sun 5 Oct 03. The U11 Black side finally got off the mark for the mark for the season as a fine team display brought a 9-0 win over Kinsley Boys.
The defence and midfield worked hard throughout as the visitors were rarely in Cloughs half and did not manage a shot on goal.
Clough goals were scored by MOM Jack Brook (four), Ben Cooper (two), Matthew Darville, Josh Ferry and James Lord.

Sun 12 Oct 03. The U11 Black team ran out deserved 6-3 winners over Methley United.
Matthew Darville and James Duffy combined for Josh Ferry to score before the visitors equalised.
Ferry scored from Darvills cross before Jonathan Redick scored a penalty but was ordered to retake it. His second kick hit the angle of the post and crossbar and was scrambled away for a corner but from the flag kick Redick volleyed home.
Methley scored a penalty but on half time Clough went 4-2 up when Beb Cooper scored after a good move involving Redick, Ferry and Aam Smith.
Methley struck again but Clough dug deep and after Ethan Morley went close, James Duffy and Ashley Jackson, after good work by James Lord scored to seal victory. MoM Lord and Grant Bulmer were commanding in defence.

Sun 26 Oct 03. Nine man Clough U11 Black pulled off a 2-0 win over Kinsley Boys.
John Blewett, Grant Bulmer and Jonathan Redick were outstanding in defence, Kieran Rochell pulled off an excellent double save, while Ben Cooper and Jack Brooke also worked hard.
Adam Smith had a goal disallowed, but MOM Ashley Jackson gave Clough the lead in the second half, with Hayden Campbell adding a second from the penalty spot.

Sun 7 Dec 03 The U11 Black team lost 4-1 to leaders Stanley for the second time in three weeks but put up a fine display. Despite good defending from MOM Matthew Darville, James Lord, James Duffy and John Blewett, Cloughs luck was out and after missing a penalty they trailed 2-0.
Clough began the second half on top and a good move involving Duffy, Ashley Jackson and Adam Smith saw Smith shoot just wide.
With Darville resolute in defence Clough pushed for goal but this left them exposed at the back and they conceded twice more.
Clough got a late goal when Jack Brookes fine through ball was converted by Hayden Cambell.
